Arelative clause relates to a noun in the sentence.
when a relative clause describes a person:
we use who or that
تستخدم who that لتحل محل الفاعل العاقل
تستخدم whom لتحل محل مفعول عااقل
This is the boy whom I met yesterday
when a relative clause describes a thing : we use which or that
The police were investigating the crime . It happened in the shop
The police were investigating the cime which (that) happened in the shop
when a relative clause describes a place : we use where or
which (that) +in
That is the hotel . We stayed in it last year.
That is the hotel where we stayed last year
That is the hotel which (that) we stayed in last year
When a relative clause describes a time :we use when
I saw the film . I was in paris at that time
I saw the film when I was in paris..
we use whose for possession تستخدم للملكيه
That is the girl . Her car was stolen .
That is the girl whose car was stolen
